Before There Were Positive Points, There Was…

 The relief of metal music.

Meagadeth: Behind the Mask

Yesterday I treated myself to a show, all dressed up in full Megadeth regalia. I must say it felt good after being cooped up for so long. I figured since my birthday was in a few days, I would give this to myself as a present. I am glad I did.

I enjoyed the way Dave connected the various positive points of being a front-runner of two of the biggest metal bands in the world. A sense of peace was interwoven throughout the narrative contratsting the war horse labeling. I found it interesting that he mentioned the Art of War and how some require its reading, even though the first rule, divide and conquer, seems to have been forgotten by an alarming number of people.

At any rate, things that synced with me are as follows:

Do as Thou Wilt (No sweeter words of non-duality and choice ever spoken)

The tattoos of Pantera I was absolutely unaware of

And just a reminder of how much this particular music helped me cycle through strong negative emotions when I wasn't ready or able to anchor positive points.

The art work and music combo was a plus, definitely a must see for those interested in song, writing, music creation process, and appreciators of fast yet melodic, nuanced guitar playing. I am glad Dave found a good friend in Teemu; he has a nice feel about him.

I left as I arrived comfortably alone, yet enshrouded in that feeling of Metal camaraderie that always brings me such relief.

Thanks for sharing, Dave. I look forward to the album.
