A Positive Point Reminder

When I got my first apartment the day I moved in a woman was moving out and had two paintings, she stopped me on the way in and asked me if I wanted them. Since I didn't have many wall decorations I said yes.

I would find out later that one of the paintings was by an artist (Roberto Lupetti) who helped restore the Sistine Chapel and was trained by that group of painters. When I hung it opposite a sliding glass door I thought for a second that the reflection in the jug was of my studio apartment, it lined up perfectly. Of course, it was only for a second because I knew paint shouldn't be reflective.

I am still marveling over the detail of this painting, and the multiple complexities it displays. I always enjoy viewing it.

It’s also an example of something I received all mine to keep just for being me with no strings attached. A positive point reminder that good things do happen in reality and that I can look forward to more.
